DOTING dad David Beckham tenderly cradles new daughter Harper Seven in his arms yesterday as he proudly shows her to the world for the first time.

The England legend, 36, lovingly brushed noses with the tiny girl a week after she was born in LA.

Wife Victoria, 37, posted the touching snap online, while Becks put up one of her dozing with Harper - the couple's first girl to add to their three sons.

Proud Becks posted the black and white image online, writing: "I took this picture of my two girls sleeping."

The baby, born in Los Angeles, was named after Harper Lee, American author of Victoria's favourite book To Kill A Mockingbird.

Ex-England skipper Becks told of his joy in video interviews also posted on the net days before.

He said: "To have another girl in the family is really incredible.

"We've got three beautiful healthy boys already and we're so lucky to have that - and now to have a beautiful little girl.

"Having a daughter is a whole new thing. Having pink in the house, having lilac in the house.

"And you have to be a lot more delicate with girls than boys. I'm not used to that, so it's a whole new experience."

Harper's arrival by caesarean last Sunday brought a sister for the Beckhams' sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six.

Yesterday reports claimed she was already a fashion icon - after landing a bespoke designer buggy and carrycot for FREE.

British firm iCandy were said to have given the Beckhams an £800 Peach pushchair to match their baby's lilac-themed nursery.

The Beckhams put the photos on their Facebook and Twitter pages, snubbing the chance of a multi-million pound media deal so fans could see them for free.

One well-wisher wrote of Becks' photo: "Such a beautiful picture." Another said: "Two angels sleep."

Yesterday, Becks sported a brand new pair of boots - with the names of his four children printed on one side.

He showed off his new boots at a match in Los Angeles, California.

LA Galaxy played against Real Madrid, who won the match 4-1.

It was the first time Beckham has come up against his old side - featuring CRISTIANO RONALDO - since moving to the United States in 2007.

Earlier in the day David took time out to bond with his eldest sun Brooklyn in Malibu.

The shirtless star was spotted running down the beach with his camera before snapping his son catching waves.

A big 2 fingers up to all those that suggested they would sell the pics for millions and i guess it's those people who are now making the snidey remarks but you just can't bring yourselves to say anything positive !

Oh and those that call the photos staged, i have a picture of myself and my newborn in an identical pose to that of victoria's . Why bother looking if you can only be hateful.

honestly this is my last comment, but how can you say its for publicity....of course shes gonna be wearing make up she didnt JUST HAVE THE BABY, she had it a few days ago now? she is aloud to put her make up back on? and take a photo with her baby, however she likes? if she didnt then the world wouldnt see the baby...which is what their fans want to see, they are proud parents, they want to show her off..its their first daughter...

it looks like she has fake lashes on, you can get semi-perminant false lashes that last for about 8 weeks!
i like the name Harper, and the pics are gorgeous, which parent doesnt want to show off thier children! no different to us usual folk posting pics of our kids on facebook!

Honestly if i was going to have a photo taken that would go around the world I'd make sure i have some slap on...gotta try and make yourself look good even in a hospital bed.

As for the name Harper is quit popular in America for both boys and girls, its even used in this country so i find nothing wrong with it. The only thinkg is Seven...that really isn't a name - its a number but its up to them what they call their child. Some of the kids from the local estate have worse names.

There is nothing wrong with the pics, or the name. It’s their choice. But can someone please explain why those pics are in the paper? Has he just saved the world from extinction, or become prime minister, or scored a hat-trick in the world cup for England? Thousands of kids born every day, so what makes theirs so special? And will someone please tell Mr. Beckham to sack his hairdresser! With those pink boots to top off his poncy hair, he really is looking like a prize one plonker these days.

He did score in 3 world cups, which proves he was pretty good, but he is still not an all time england great top 10 player, he might just make the top 20. He seems a good family man, just waiting for the scandal lol

Ah well, when it's all said and done, silly name and all, she will be loved little girl. Despite everything the Beckham's are indeed wonderful loving parents and in the end that's all that matters. She is adorable.
